Summary by Persona (Grouped by Role)

👩‍⚕️ Clinicians / Therapists

  • Therapists will see more consistent patient profile controls, clearer visit confirmation behavior after cancellations or rescheduling, more reliable credential updates, and access to the visit note sidebar even when a plan of care is not required for facility-billed patients.

🧑‍💼 Admins

  • Admins can manage facility invoice dates and numbers, assign authorizations by discipline, see more consistent patient profile controls, and rely on clearer visit confirmation behavior.

💳 Billers / Guardians

  • Billers: Facility invoices can now have editable invoice and due dates before payments or write-offs are recorded, and patient authorizations can be limited by discipline for more accurate claims, visit counts, and alerts.

  • Guardians/Patients: Families using the Spanish patient portal will see more consistent translations and date formats, and cancelled or rescheduled visits will handle confirmations more clearly.

🛠️ Fix - Spanish Patient Portal Text and Dates Display More Consistently

👥 Audience: Families using the patient portal in Spanish

📅 Date range affected: Since the Spanish patient portal was introduced

❗ Issue: Some portal text still appeared in English when the portal language was set to Spanish, and dates were shown in a mix of formats on the same page.

✅ Action Steps: None. Text that a practice types into its own intake forms is shown exactly as the practice wrote it; practices who want a Spanish intake can create a Spanish version of the form.

🛠️ Fix - Patient Profile Buttons Appear in a Consistent Order

👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins

❗ Issue: Buttons on the patient profile appeared in a different order from one section to another, which made the pages feel inconsistent.

✅ Action Steps: None. The View button now always appears on the right in every section of the patient profile.

🚀 New Feature - Set Facility Invoice Dates and Edit Invoice Numbers

👥 Audience: Admins and anyone who manages facility billing

🛠️ Steps to Access: Requires the Manage Facility Billing permission and a Professional Plan. No feature flag.

📢 What's new?: You can now set the invoice date and due date when you create a facility invoice, and change them afterwards as long as no payments or write offs have been recorded against that invoice. Once money has been applied to an invoice, its dates are locked. Editing a facility invoice number from the invoice page is now available as well.

🚀 New Feature - Assign Patient Authorizations by Discipline

👥 Audience: Admins and billing staff

🛠️ Steps to Access: Patient payments page, authorization fields. No flag or permission changes.

📢 What's new?: You can now set one or more disciplines on a patient authorization. When set, the authorization applies only to those disciplines' visits, so practices holding separate authorization numbers for occupational and physical therapy get the correct number on each claim, accurate visit counts, and accurate alerts for each discipline. Authorizations without a discipline continue to cover all disciplines, and now show "N/A" in the Disciplines column to match how billing codes and payers already appear when they are left open. A discipline can only be added if the authorization's billing codes are used by that discipline, so a mismatch is caught while the authorization is being set up rather than turning up later on a claim. Speech and feeding are treated as a pair, so either can be added to the other's codes.

🚀 New Feature - Visit Confirmations Update Automatically After Cancellations and Rescheduling

👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins, Patients & Families

🛠️ Steps to Access: None — applies automatically.

📢 What's new?: Cancelling a confirmed visit now clears the confirmation, so a visit is never shown as both confirmed and cancelled. If a family opens a visit that has since been cancelled and taps Confirm, they now see a message asking them to contact the clinic, rather than a confirmation that would not have taken effect. Clinic staff can reinstate the visit from the schedule. Rescheduling a visit to a new day or time clears any confirmations on it, so families are asked to confirm the new time. Marking a visit present, absent, or a no-show leaves the confirmation as it was.

🛠️ Fix - Credential Updates Work When Licenses Are Removed First

👥 Audience: Therapists, Admins

📅 Date range affected: Long standing

❗ Issue: Updating your credentials could fail with an error if one of the credentials being removed still had a license attached.

✅ Action Steps: If you want to change a credential that has a license, remove the license first, then change the credential.

🛠️ Fix - Visit Note Sidebar Remains Available for Facility-Billed Patients

👥 Audience: Therapists

❗ Issue: When an organization chose not to require a plan of care for patients billed only through a facility, the sidebar on the visit note page was hidden, so therapists could not load a prior note or view the plan of care.

✅ Action Steps: None. The sidebar is now always available.
